CRC, DLG Tactical & Magpul AKS-74U Handguards — Tactical Forends for Krinkov Platforms

The handguard on an AKS-74U (Krinkov) platform serves as the foundational interface that determines accessory mounting real estate, shooter thermal defense, and weapon handling dynamics. Because the shortened barrel shifts balance closer to the receiver, handguard material selection directly dictates weapon agility and front-end weight distribution. This category covers two primary manufacturing methodologies:

CRC / Kruk (Ukraine): Precision CNC-machined aerospace aluminum handguards (6082-T6 / 7075-T6) featuring hard-anodized or Cerakote finishes. Engineered with multi-axis M-LOK slots and a rigid, monolithic upper gas tube bridge that maintains zero for laser aiming modules (LAMs), weapon lights, and thermal clip-ons without shift under heavy thermal expansion.
DLG Tactical, FAB Defense & Magpul: High-durability impact-modified tactical polymer handguards. Spans direct-attach M-LOK systems (Magpul Zhukov-U), quad-rail Picatinny configurations (FAB Defense KPR), and stamped internal aluminum heat shields that guard against rapid heat conduction during sustained strings.

Choosing between a rigid billet chassis (CRC) and a lightweight composite forend (DLG, FAB, Magpul) depends on mission requirements: CNC aluminum provides an immovable aiming plane for mission-critical lasers and optics, while reinforced polymer preserves rapid maneuverability and cuts carry weight in vehicle and CQB operations.

Key Technical Features

Aerospace Alloys & Reinforced Polymers: CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminum (CRC) provides structural rigidity under heavy torque, while glass-filled polymers (DLG, Magpul) deliver significant front-end weight savings.
Standardized Magpul M-LOK Interface: Direct-mount M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock accommodate tactical foregrips, light mounts, and QD sling swivels without excess rail bulk.
MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Rail Extensions: Perimeter quad-rail configurations (FAB Defense KPR) and integrated railed gas tube covers for direct optic placement.
Rigid Optic Bridges (CRC): Short and extended upper handguard options rigidly secure over the gas tube to hold zero for aiming devices through heavy cyclic recoil.
Internal Heat Shielding: Stamped internal aluminum heat deflectors (Magpul Zhukov-U) isolate the shooter's support hand from high barrel temperatures during rapid firing.
Tactical Camouflage Finishes: Available in non-reflective Black, Flat Dark Earth (FDE), Coyote Brown, and Olive Drab.
Dedicated AKS-74U Blueprint: Dimensioned strictly around the compact gas piston, front sight block, and handguard retainer collar of the AKS-74U / Krinkov profile.
Universal Accessory Support: Drop-in compatibility with the global ecosystem of M-LOK handstops, pressure switch mounts, and thermal barrier covers.

AKS-74U Handguards from Astreia Tactical Astreia Tactical supplies authentic CRC, DLG Tactical, FAB Defense, and Magpul AKS-74U handguards, conducting strict pre-dispatch bench checks on receiver-inlet tolerances, fastener threads, and rail slot concentricity. Technical specialists assist in matching the proper handguard chassis—heavy-duty aluminum CRC or lightweight polymer systems—to your weapon configuration, optic package, and operational requirements.
