Leupold Alpine CF-425 is an ultra-lightweight field-class carbon tripod designed for situations where every gram of equipment matters: mountain travel, long observation sessions, and work with optics in rugged terrain. A weight of about 907 g allows it to be carried continuously without overloading gear, while the carbon fiber legs and metal structural components maintain rigidity and stability in real field conditions.
The four-section legs with twist locks provide rapid deployment and precise height adjustment. The tripod geometry allows operation in low positions for maximum stability as well as at full height for standing observation. The ball head with an Arca-Swiss interface enables fast mounting of optics, binoculars, spotting scopes, or cameras and smooth, precise movement without jerks.
🫡 We are a team of veterans
We evaluate tripods based on field performance: joint rigidity, absence of play, ground stability, and lock operation in cold, rain, and dusty environments.

💬 Comment
This is not a studio tripod but a mobile field platform for optics. Its key value is the weight-to-rigidity ratio. It is optimal for long movements where the tripod stays on your gear rather than in a vehicle.
🎯 Suitable for
Military observers and reconnaissance personnel — when mobility and stable optical support with minimal weight are critical.
Snipers and marksmen — as a lightweight auxiliary tripod for spotting or optical devices.
Mountain hunters — for long carry and operation on difficult terrain.
Naturalists and birdwatchers — for extended observation with minimal equipment load.
