📝 Kestrel 5700 Ballistics Weather Meter with BT. Color — TAN
The Kestrel 5700 Ballistics differs from the advanced Kestrel 5700 Elite model by the absence of built-in Applied Ballistics software (ballistic software is present, but not Applied Ballistics).
The Kestrel ballistic environmental meter combines environmental monitoring functions with long-range ballistic information. The built-in LiNK option provides additional capabilities compared to USB data transfer. LiNK allows uploading customizable curves from a smartphone, and when multiple ammunition types are used for the same rifle, separate data sets can be entered for each type.

In field conditions, accurate environmental data and proper corrections directly affect performance. Monitoring temperature, air density, pressure, and wind provides an understanding of the operating environment, while the ballistic module allows these factors to be incorporated into calculations.

💬 Comment
The Kestrel 5700 Ballistics combines environmental measurements and ballistic calculations in one device. It uses an extended G1/G7 ballistic algorithm, a user bullet library, precise drag profile measurement, and includes corrections for aerodynamic jump, Spin Drift, and the Coriolis effect to improve long-range accuracy.
Dual-mode display backlighting includes RED (Night Vision) for reduced blue/green spectrum brightness in darkness and white backlighting to suppress glare in bright conditions. Extended functions allow storage of up to 3 rifle and bullet profiles and 1 saved target. The impact-resistant and waterproof housing is designed for field use, and the battery compartment is isolated from the main electronics.
Measured parameters include barometric pressure, pressure trend, altitude, relative humidity, heat stress index, dew point, wet bulb temperature, air density, wind chill, air temperature, wind gust speed, time and date.
Advantages of the 5700 model include a digital compass and the ability to measure wind direction, crosswind, headwind, and tailwind.
🎯 Suitable for
Primarily — military personnel operating in field environments who must account for environmental and ballistic factors during missions.
It is also suitable for users who need to combine environmental measurement and calculations in a compact field format, as well as those working in variable environments requiring precise air and wind monitoring.
