Leofoto LH-40LR+NP-50 tripod head is a professional ball tripod head with a 40 mm ball, equipped with an integrated ARCA-Swiss clamp and NP-50 quick-release plate. The design is developed for precise, repeatable and rigid fixation of cameras, video cameras, thermal devices, spotting scopes, laser rangefinders and observation optics without micro-shifts after tightening.
The 40 mm ball forms an increased contact surface in the friction assembly, which increases stability under load and minimizes the settling effect after locking. The mechanism provides smooth positioning with controlled rotation force and rigid locking of the position. The panning base has a separate locking mechanism and an engraved scale, which allows accurate circular panoramas with repeatable frame geometry.
The ARCA-Swiss clamp ensures standardized and geometrically repeatable installation of equipment without play. The body is made of high-strength aluminum alloy with deep anodizing, resistant to wear, scratches and corrosion. The design includes a bubble level for accurate horizontal alignment.
🫡 We — a team of veterans
In field conditions, joint rigidity, absence of parasitic play, stability after locking and resistance to vibration from shots or machinery operation are critical. Leofoto LH-40LR maintains position without micro-shifts even under dynamic load.

💬 Comment
A 40 mm ball is an optimal engineering compromise between node compactness and high holding capacity under significant load.
🎯 Suitable for
Military units use the head for stable installation of observation, thermal and aiming optics with guaranteed position retention after locking. Snipers and instructors use it when working with long-focus systems where micro-stability and absence of parasitic shifts are critical. Landscape photographers use the model for precise panoramic shooting with repeatable frame geometry and stable horizon. Videographers work with heavy optics where rigid angle fixation without settling is required. Technical specialists use the head for measuring, laser and diagnostic equipment where geometric stability of the node is important.
