Walker's Razor Slim electronic hearing protection in Multicam is a low-profile earmuff for the range, field training and work around loud equipment. It combines a passive noise reduction rating of 23 dB with active amplification of ambient sound, so commands, nearby speech and movement in the sector remain audible. The slim cups do not interfere with the weapon cheek weld or with helmet use.
Two high-gain omnidirectional microphones pick up sound from all directions and reproduce it through built-in full dynamic range HD speakers, frequency-tuned for natural clarity and low self-noise. Impulse noise is handled by Sound Activated Compression (SAC): when a sharp loud sound occurs — a shot, an impact, machinery — the circuit compresses the signal within 0.02 seconds, after which amplification automatically returns to its working level. The cups use a sound-dampening composite housing, the headband carries a padded insert for extended wear, and the frame folds for compact transport. Volume control is placed on the cup, and the external battery door allows cell replacement without disassembly. A 3.5 mm audio input jack is provided for connecting an external audio source.
